My TRAINING & experience
I have over 27 years experience teaching Alexander Technique full time to individuals, pairs & groups, at The Well Health Centre & the Health Centre, Kings Norton. I qualified as an Alexander Technique teacher in 1990 (from the STAT-registered Oxford Alexander Teacher Training Course run by Dick & Elisabeth Walker), having initially gained a BSc Hons in Biological Sciences from Birmingham University. Here I specialised in Human & Exercise Physiology, and this informs my Alexander sessions for people interested in any exercise, whether it be walking, jogging, cycling, or a highly competitive sport. I also work as a performing musician & have a special interest in working on the Alexander Technique with performing artists & musicians. I currently teach music degree students at Birmingham University, having previously worked at Warwick University & the Birmingham Conservatoire. I was a member of teaching staff at the Oxford Alexander Training School for 3 years.
